Mary Mickelson was born, raised and lived in the Seattle vicinity most of her life. She began crafting her glass art jewelry in Ohio and currently resides in Alaska where she has an extensive art studio in her home.

 

Always involved in arts and crafts, and being a creative individual, Mary began learning the art of stained glass  in early 2008 and gradually evolved into glass fusion. The art of glass fusion took Mary into an entirely new realm of creativity by allowing her to design jewelry, and she hasn't looked back!  She is self-taught and has mastered the techniques necessary to create beautiful pieces of wearable glass art jewelry.

 

Completely committed to her artwork, her main focus is creating wearable designer and custom silver and dichroic glass art jewelry. All of her creations are made of high quality fused dichroic glass, constructed mainly of sterling silver, fine silver, swarovski crystals,  glass, natural shell and semi-precious stone beads to enhance each design.

 

Mary's designs have been walked on the runways in New York City, The Hamptons and many other venues on the East Coast and Midwest.  Her creative magic currently happens in her Alaskan studio and is sold online, art galleries and art fair settings.

 

She is especially interested in creating custom pieces for everyone's unique style. From the customers minds' eye, to the reality of one-of-a-kind, beautiful pieces of wearable designer jewelry made of silver, dichroic glass and natural semi precious stones.  She welcomes the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver your personal vision of unique wearable art.
